The battle logic of counter-relationships forms a balanced cycle that allows ROK to have a strategic and fair battle environment. Though Infantry and Cavalry formed a winning combination in the previous version, Infantry heroes and troops are still restrained by Archers.
Now is the time for the Archers to shine. We are offering a variety of events to help you build a formidable Archer legion. Two Archer heroes – a Gold one and an Orange one, are ready to serve. How effective are their skills on the battlefield? Will the Archer legion be able to destroy the Infantry legion? Let’s find out in the ROK LAB together.
Are Archers always effective against the Infantry? The answer is no.
Here we choose two powerful heroes for the Archer dispatch: the new Gold hero Tyr’anis and Kanoa, and two powerful heroes for the Infantry dispatch: Naia and Gideon. Their troops consist of 300K T11 Crossbowmen and 300K T11 Spearmen respectively. Their attributes are similar, but a minor difference is decisive in the actual battle result. Archers have higher attack, while Infantry is skilled at defense. OK, the battle is over. Let’s take a look at the battle result.
Unfortunately, Archers lost. Why? The answer is simple – Shieldmen are needed. According to the battle logic, Shieldmen need be in the front row to soak up damage so that Archers have their chance to attack. In addition, one of Tyr’anis skill effects is to increase Shieldmen HP. Without Shieldmen in the front row, Archers are not able to take their damage to the extreme.
Archers and Shieldmen form a perfect team.
This time, we’ll choose the same hero group, but a different troop combination. For the Archers side, we place 120K T12 Shieldmen in the front row and 180K T11 Crossbowmen in the back. On the Infantry side, we place 120K T12 Shieldmen in the front row and 180K T11 Spearmen in the back. Their attributes are shown in the picture. Now, let’s check out the battle result.
The Archers won! Thanks to the Shieldmen, the Crossbowmen were well protected and were able to deal high damage without being attacked.
T11 is not even the highest level for Archer troops. When your Target Range is upgraded to Legendary Lv.6, you will be able to train T12 Archers, who have more devastating attributes. In real battles, T12 Archers will deal high damage and end battles quickly.
Let’s see if this battle logic is effective when it comes to Orange heroes.
For Archers, we choose the new Orange hero The Returned and Mori Istar, and place 120K T10 Shieldmen in the front and 180K T11 Crossbowmen in the back. For Infantry, we choose the Faceless Knight and Oged’Mael, and place 120K T10 Shieldmen in the front and 180K T11 Spearmen in the back. Their attributes are shown in the picture. Note: The Returned also increases Shieldmen HP.
The Archers won again, with the battle result coming out similar to the previous one. The battle logic never lies.
Archers deal great amounts of damage on the battlefield. T12 Archers and T12 Shieldmen are really the most powerful troops in-game. When they are both in your legion, who dares to stand in your way as you rise to the throne?
When conducting trial battles, we found that T12 Archers have a chance to smash T12 Shieldmen without any heroes in the dispatch.
The battle result is determined by the battle logic and strategies. Arrange your formation wisely to restrain your enemies, and with strategically chosen heroes and troops, you’ll dominate every battle to come.
