La Sakura’s tea corner! 🍡 8

One of our wonderful players, La Sakura from K165 just done an extra amazing interview with ArijaKnighter. So it’s time to let La Sakura do the talking!

Hello everyone! I am La Sakura from K165. 🌸

And today i will interview one of the many great players we have here in ROK. Today ArijaKnighter who hails from K209, will steal the spotlight and will tell us a bit about herself and her experiences in ROK.

Hello ArijaKnighter! Thank you for participating in this interview, there are many questions I’d like to ask about you and your experiences in ROK.

Q1, La Sakura.

How and why did you start writing for the ROK forum?

A1, ArijaKnighter.

I got my inspiration to write from our kingdom streamer πŸ₯ƒMarsπŸ₯ƒ and my Husband MidKnighter. My specialty has always been a support and defensive player, so I wrote my first guides on Healer heroes & KLC’s Monster comp with the encouragement they gave me. Many writers and streamers at the time were only β€œbigs” so I wanted to bring the full circle around of how to play for those who do not fully focus on being the biggest. Cause you can not have attackers without support.

Q2, La Sakura.

And how do you deal with hate comments?

A2, ArijaKnighter.

To be honest; I rarely get them. I mostly get negative comments or hate when players recognize me in the ROK Facebook posts & comments. Then they accuse of working for ROK and being an β€œinsider” to boost the game. I find it quite hilarious. Just because I try to see the positive in something most are upset about I am automatically lumped into the dev and customer service hate. πŸ˜‚ Ignoring is my best policy, some are going to be upset regardless of what goes on in game. All I can do is continue to try to bring our players more guides on the content they do not understand. ☺️

Q3, La Sakura.

Do you have tips for new writers?

A3, ArijaKnighter.

My biggest hint/tip: Use your own experiences, failures and successes as your main tools in writing guides. When you write about what you know; it becomes more fluid and easier to get your thoughts in order. Also; do not push yourself to write guides you do not know the information fully yourself. Your guide will have better quality information if you write about what you have experienced, practiced and tested throughout your gameplay.

To our story writers; my biggest tip would be to fully immerse yourself in Hero Handbooks and their histories they create. It will give you amazing inspiration to further your stories and content.

Q4, La Sakura.

Amazing tips! What piece that you have written are you the most proud of?

A4, ArijaKnighter.

There are two actually. My Medal Millionaire guide that just recently came out and my Nyria’s Christmas Daze story that came out for…well Christmas. It was my first try at creating a fictional story for the game to tie in a real life holiday. I loved the challenge of writing it and it’s overall outcome.

Q5, La Sakura.

You started writing amazing interviews! What do you find the most difficult about writing those interviews?

A5, ArijaKnighter.

Reflecting now; The interview questions came naturally to me when mechanics changed or civil war was initiated in my own kingdom. I was so intrigued with the new changes and how it would affect everyone. When it came to civil war (which I never really experienced until recently in my kingdom) I wanted to know how others dealt with it all. I saw so many upset about changes I wanted to understand why and their thoughts. It drove more inspiration into me. That is when I hit difficulty; FINDING the player who would openly give their opinions. You would be surprised at how many speak up in forums and posts but yet do not want to give an interview. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Q6, La Sakura.

The forum in ROK has changed a lot. What’s your favourite topic in the ROK forum and why?

A6, ArijaKnighter.

Oh that is a great question; I really do not have a favorite topic. I absolutely love our game’s forums. We are extremely lucky to have writers and streamers work so hard to to provide information to everyone. Every single contribution is hours of work and research into the knowledge given. Every piece has become my favorite because of the materials given to help every single player of ROK.

Q7, La Sakura.

What do you hope to see in ROK and why?

A7, ArijaKnighter.

More grind to win events! We have had more lately but when it comes to new heroes & contents of the game I would like to see more grind events. Mysterious Treasure is a great grind event that gives good little prizes per level and completions. I would love to see more events like that but with helping players acquire gold heroes, medals, resources and skills.

Basically help balance the gap between the spender and non-spending players. πŸ™‚

Q8, La Sakura.

It’s been a while since the update of T12 and L6 but how do you feel about the new L6 and T12?

A8, ArijaKnighter.

I have only been up against T12 and an L6 in Field of Honor. I was a bit intimidated at first but with the announcement of Naia gives me hope that not everyone below T12 will become obsolete basically now. πŸ˜‚ It is all about learning the mechanics more and research to defend against them. Which all takes time and patience which most of us do not have. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ we will get there though and figure it all out! Positive thoughts! πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

Q9, La Sakura.

Speaking about Naia.. How do you feel about the brand new infantry hero and the timing of the update?

A9, ArijaKnighter.!!! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ to be completely honest, I am fanatical about all new heroes really; coming from a time when there were none. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I usually sound like one of the old folk, β€œback in my day we didn’t have heroes or a way to get pink waters! And our marches were slow as hell!β€πŸ€£πŸ˜‚

I feel she might bring a better balance between cavalry and infantry, many do not see it this way of course. My biggest hope is she will be a grind hero event, as a light spender myself I depend on these kinds of events. Not only to advance my castle but keeps my spark in the game alive!

Since the addition of Mulan plus L6; I think it actually a perfect time to come out with Naia & the update. This new Siren of the Sea and changes will spark more passion into the game than many expected. Change is hard to accept but it is needed for the evolution of the game. Without it; we would all be bored as hell and most complaining more than ever.

Thank you Arijaknighter! your answers are simply perfect + don’t stop entertaining us with your work! is there anything you would like to say to the ROK community? 😘
